ধুপ লগে আকাশ পে জব

ধুপ লগে আকাশ পে জব

দিন মেঁ চাঁন্দ নজর আয়া থা

ডাক সে আয়া মুহর লাগা

এক পুরানা সা তেরা, চিট্ঠী কা লিফাফা ইয়াদ আয়া

চিট্ঠী গুম হুয়ে তো অরসা বীত চুকা

মুহর লগা, বস মটিয়ালা সা

উসকা লিফাফা রখা থা।

বেশ রোদ ছিল, তবু আকাশের কোণে ছিল চাঁদ

পুরোনো খামের মত, বয়ে আনা পৌঁছসংবাদ।

মোহরের দাগ ছিল, জলছাপ ডাকটিকিটের।

ভেতরের চিঠি কবে হারিয়েছি সময়ের ফের।

ছেঁড়া-খামে চুপিচুপি ভরে রাখি বৃষ্টির স্বাদ।
